FRESH FLOWERS AND BEGINNINGS

I popped into a very talented local florist shop here in Charleston this afternoon and came home with the loveliest assortment of pink flowers. There's gorgeous, deep pink, hanging amaranths mixed with light pink dahlias, paired perfectly with deep greenery. I'm looking at the pictures I took now and I still cannot get over how amazing the bunch of flowers looks.

This particular floral shop is quite small and is only open Thursday-Saturday I believe. In fact, when I went in the shop today a little bit before 1pm, the florist was still putting together arrangements, so I got to watch her artfully, yet quickly, put my bundle together. I'm starting to wonder if these fresh cut flowers are a sign for a new beginning.. I know it may sound a bit crazy, but what if those fresh cut flowers are a metaphor for a new chapter?

Today has been an amazing day to say the absolute least. I had my usual routine of eating breakfast and drinking coffee, going to the gym, but then cancelling my beach plans as the sky was quite cloudy. I decided to relax for a little while in Eclectic Cafe and have a caramel latte while I decided what I was going to do with the rest of my day. I finally settled on having a relaxing day by just getting a lovely bundle of flowers and going back to the apartment to work on my gallery wall in the living room. It's coming together so nicely in my opinion, and I can't wait to share the finished product with you! I can get so caught up doing so many things, that I forget how nice it is to have relaxing, simple days. And then, I got an email..

I got a job that I interviewed for on Monday! I had been waiting to hear back since Tuesday, and today I got an email offering me a job as a hostess at a very elegant restaurant, FIG. As much as I like sharing my life on my blog, I try to keep the negativity to a minimum, so I haven't been totally open about my life. Honestly, I've been stressed. I lost my job at on the 22nd of June, and I've been frantically searching for a job ever since. Now, I can finally stop worrying about how I'm going to pay rent or gas or groceries, and enjoy life a bit more. I'm truly so thankful for this door God has opened for me and I cannot wait to see what adventures are ahead.

And...

Sarah is on her way to Charleston from Delaware right now! She should be here any minute now. She's finally moving in to our apartment! Now that her cousin's wedding is over with and she's has the chance to pack up all her belongings, she's moving in! I'm oh so excited. Now that she'll be here permanently, we'll be exploring bits of Charleston that we really haven't seen in depth before, which means so many more exciting and adventurous blog posts are soon to come! I'm so excited to have her move in and to start a new chapter with her. We've been waiting for the opportunity for over 4 years now! Distance is such a drag, but I'm so happy to say goodbye to it and say hello to a bright future with amazing things waiting on us.

I'm so happy to bring you along on this adventure! Also, please let me know what parts of Charleston you would like me to write about, and I'll be so glad to explore that area, take loads of photos, and write posts on it for you. I hope new doors are opened for you and that life is so good to you. Now, let me end this post before I start crying happy tears!
