After hearing the constant hype about Glossier, I just had to give their skincare products a try. Glossier is a cruelty-free skincare and makeup brand infamous for their creamy wax formula Boy Brow and gel-cream Cloud Paints. So many beauty gurus from the all over the world visit the Glossier showroom in NYC which features Glossier's most popular products and allows visitors to try out a variety of products. An elevator takes guests to the showroom which opens into an office-like white space with assistants to help you fill out your checklist to choose which products you want to purchase. Between the showroom, Glossier's social media platforms, and their website, I think their philosophy is to keep ingredients pure while maintaining a strong focus on embracing your healthy skin with a minimal focus on heavy makeup.

I have been lacking a skincare routine, and as I am now 22 years old, I think a skincare routine should be one of my top priorities. After doing some research on the notable, modern company, I decided to fall into the spell of Glossier and buy the Glossier Phase 1. I've been using this set as a nighttime skin regime, but I know tons of people use this in the morning to prep their skin for makeup. As I rarely wear makeup, I like to use this at the end of the day to remove dirt and oil from my face, but I think this could definitely be used twice a day, both morning and evening.
I was most excited to try out the skincare line!
Here is my take on the products after using each only twice...

Milky Jelly Cleanser: This skincare set includes the highly coveted milky jelly cleanser which seemingly dissolves all makeup into thin air. I was amazed at how well this subtle, gentle cleanser removed my makeup without leaving any residue. Now, I can't vouch for how well it removes mascara as I did not have mascara on the day I used it, but when I do use it to remove mascara, I will certainly update you, as I know mascara can be impossible to remove without scrubbing your eyelids raw. This creamy gel formula with five conditioners works well as a nighttime cleanser regardless if you have on makeup or just want to take the oil and dirt off your face from a long day. It doesn't make my skin feel tight or irritated in the slightest. Rather, it leaves my skin feeling soft and glowing. So dreamy.
Priming Moisturizer: I follow the cleanser with the priming moisturizer, which can be used to prep skin for makeup, or alone to showcase a soft, dewy complexion. I have oily skin, so I appreciate how this moisturizer is light and doesn't make my skin feel weighed down my oil. Rather, it is a lasting, creamy moisturizer that truly brightens the skin while leaving a soft texture to the skin. I won't say my face feel completely oil-free after using this moisturizer, as it does feel a little slick, but it is one of the better moisturizers I've tried, for sure. So creamy and dewy.
Balm Dotcom: I've been using this on my lips, but apparently it multifunctions as a lip and skin salve! Packed with hydrating elements and antioxidants, the Balm Dotcom works to repair dry skin and seal in moisture. It's a thick, creamy gel that comes in a variety of scents, but I went for the rose scented one, of course. The scent is very subtle, so if you opt for a lip cream that works magic yet doesn't suffocate you with a heavy scent, this is for you. I've noticed my lips are much softer, smoother, and more plump right after after using this. So lovely.
The part I love most about Glossier's products is that they are so simple and come with a very reasonable price tag. Again, their website and their social media platforms really do an amazing job of highlighting the face that they stand for the everyday, typical girl with a strong focus on skincare.

Use this link for 20% off your order with Glossier! Right now, Glossier is offering free shipping when you purchase any two items. AND, the cloud paints are on sale for 2 for $30. I'd love to try Bow Brow, SPF, or the Vitamin C Super Glow for my next purchase, as each is raved about so much. Which product are you looking most forward to trying?!
