SPRING BREAK TRAVEL BAG CHECKLIST

I hate packing. Well I love it. But.. I hate it. I love it when I know exactly what to pack. I love it when I'm going on a trip. But coming up with a "to-pack list" is my worst nightmare. I mean, I love being organized, so you're thinking, why do you hate it? That's just it. I'm such an organization freak that I fear I'll forget to pack something, so I spend all night before my trip tossing and turning, racking my brain on what I forgot to pack.. Luckily, I've got you covered with this list, and trust me.. I didn't leave a thing out. In fact, there's things on here you won't even need, I'm sure.

So we're all planning a little something for Spring Break, right? Whether it be a day trip, a few nights away to a private resort, or a week long cruise to the Bahamas, we're all doing something! I, on the other hand, am going to Scottsdale/Phoenix and Sedona, Arizona! I'm so excited because I've never seen the southwest, and I hear that Scottsdale is THE place to go. With luxury spas, resorts, endless outdoors adventures (i.e., boulder climbing, desert bike riding, hiking), high end shopping, top notch golf courses, top of the line chefs... the list goes on and on. I'll be sharing my post trip pictures and of course write at least two blog posts about it! But for now, let's talk about actually getting our bags packed and getting there! This list is intended for about a week long stay, but it can easily be adjusted for a couple days just by, say, reducing the number of 4 tops to 1 or 2. It can even be adjusted for cold weather, just omit things and replace a hat for the sun with gloves and a warm cap. You get the idea! It's super easy. Happy Spring Breaking!

This list might look long, but it's just everything that you need to take with you!

Carry On Bag: (for an airport)

  • airline ticket or boarding pass on your phone

  • passport/driver's license

  • credit card/debit cards/cash

  • light sweater in case the plane is cold (if you're like me you get cold easily)

  • jewelry (if you're taking jewelry, don't put it in your checked bag!)

  • food/water bottle

  • GermX (airports are packed with germs so use this a lot)

Checked Bag: (main bag)

  • 1 pair of jeans (black or blue high waisted skinny's are my favorite)

  • light sweater (it's going to get chillier at nights, especially if you're near a beach near wind!)

  • 1-2 nice sundresses for evening dinners (now is the time to pull out those floral printed ones)

  • 1 nice cardigan (in case the restaurant is cold. I promise I'm not paranoid of being cold)

  • 1-2 bikinis/swimsuits

  • swimsuit cover up (I just use an over sized tee and shorts)

  • phone charger

  • bags (for dirty clothes, wet swimwear, etc.)

Back to Basics:

  • toothpaste/toothbrush

  • shampoo/conditioner (I hate hotel ones.. I always bring mine that I know I love)

  • body lotion

  • deodorant

  • makeup/makeup remover

  • hair brush

  • hair protectant (to protect your hair from the sun) and hair spray (to hold it in place for evenings)

  • shaving creme and razors (if you're going for a week, you might need to touch up, you know..)

  • contact lens/glasses (if you wear these)

  • hair bands hair bands hair bands (I can't be caught without these and bobby pins)

Medicine: (have it so you won't need it)

  • Insect repellent

  • band-aids

  • aspirin

  • allergy medicine

  • any medicine you take/think you may need

  • aloe vera (because you haven't used sunscreen.. yeah that's me)
