LEWES DE-CAPE MAY NJ
I am so in love with Lewes, DE and more so the company (Sarah) I have when I arrive there...From the atmosphere, to the beach, to the food. I find myself enjoying the town more and more each time I go. It's one of those places I could visit every weekend without getting bored of it. If you're looking for a low-key, relaxing weekend, it's is definitely the place to go. It seems that Sarah and I always find unique places to eat or different things to do each time, even though she lives there and I've been there numerous times. Sarah and I have known each other for over five years now, and we've grown so incredibly close, so our adventures together are always so good.

The first evening I arrived, I was fortunate enough to walk around Sarah's campus, Salisbury University. While her university is smaller than mine at USC, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I even got to fit in some studying at her newly constructed academic commons, which has marble accents, and is also the place I quickly got addicted to hazelnut lattes at the coffee cafe, Rise Up. As a side note, I definitely recommend Rise Up if you're in the Maryland area as their coffee is so tasty and strong that you can tell it's quality coffee. The vibe I got from SU campus was so positive, and I actually enjoyed the study environment. We were lucky enough to make reservations at The Cultured Pearl, which was AMAZING. This sushi restaurant offers outdoor patio seating with a pond full of koi fish surrounding the entire seating area. The environment is so relaxing, with the koi fish and white awnings, and the sushi is so delicious.

We made sure to fit in as many things as possible... from shopping at the new Fresh Market to sipping coffee at the Lewes Bake Shoppe to making our own dinner together... okay okay and buying as well as making a few desserts..moving on, to walking her dog, Bella, to squeezing in a sunny beach day, to making acai bowls, to taking a ride on the Cape-May-Lewes Ferry and visiting a VINEYARD (our first time visiting one!)... the trip was spectacular. I always enjoy being around Sarah, even if we're just relaxing and enjoying our time together, but when we're being adventurous, I love it even more. The memories we create are second to none.

We took the ferry over to Cape May, which I've had on my bucket list for quite some time now. As you can tell by the pictures, it was quite a windy day and a breezy ride on the water. When we got there, we walked around the tourist shops in Cape May and indulged in famous New Jersey pizza which didn't disappoint in the slightest.

As I mentioned, we visited a vineyard, specifically, Cape May Winery, which was so lush. We paid $8 a piece to sample five different types of wine, plus we got to keep the wine glass! The lady who poured our wine had quite the intriguing Jersey accent, but she was nice and gave us fairly large size pours. Needless to say, we enjoyed our time sampling wine and walking through the Cape May Vineyard. The atmosphere is just so inviting.

So, I think you get the picture. It was literally the best six days, and I’m totally already planning my next visit back!
